The results of activities of Department of diplomatic service of the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the first six months of 2017.

The results of activities of Department of diplomatic service of the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the first six months of 2017 demonstrated a stable positive dynamics in the work units of Service and Unitary Enterprises. Almost all divisions and the unitary enterprises have executed the set financial parameters.

There are 1 215 foreign representative offices on service in Department. Of these: Embassies 45, Honorary consulates 8, Representative offices of international, intergovernmental and governmental organizations 35, Foreign firms and companies 534, Foreign companies - 351, Joint-stock companies - 183, etc.

With the aim of improving the conditions for the presence of diplomatic and equivalent foreign representations, expanding through the Department political, tourist and cultural ties of Uzbekistan with foreign countries, attracting foreign investment in the economy of the republic, the head of Department held official meetings with the ambassadors of India, Turkey, Belgium, Italy, Slovakia, the European Union, United Kingdom, the advisers of the embassies of Iran, the PRC, Germany, Poland, the heads of
a number of foreign representative offices and international organizations, the leadership of the Khokimiyat of Fergana region.

On the territory of "UzExpoCenter" held XV Festival of cultural traditions and national dishes, with the participation of more than 40 embassies. Obtained 68 million soums distributed in 10 charity houses in Tashkent. In an organized by Department XIII Chess-tournament among the staff of diplomatic missions and international organizations, took part 86 players from 46 teams.
